Well, I had to do a full 8 hours at work yesterday so didn't get as much as a start on Black Cat as I had thought I would. Basically I finished gridding about 7 or so pages worth in the upper right corner and that was it.

Normally I start charts on page 1, which is the upper left hand corner. More simplistic or smaller pieces get started in the center. For example, both the 'Beloved' Wedding Sampler and Patriotic Angel were started in the center. The reason I decided to switch it up for this piece is because I noticed that since I'm now stitching with the Q-Snaps my left hand rests on top of the project and gets the work dirty as I move left to right. You can see this clearly in the updated full photos of my CDC. Previously when I hoop-stitched my right hand did all the stitching while my left hand held the project so this wasn't an issue.

So, because of that I've decided to start working on projects from right to left instead, starting with Black Cat. I managed to get in a little over 100 stitches just now in a free hour I had before getting ready for work. It's just a little bit done (gotta love confetti stitches!) but I'm pleased so far. Normally I just jump right into a project and start and this always causes me problems down the road. I wanted to start this one right, hence the gridding ahead of time (first time I've done that) and so far it's working well. My stitches are still neat and even and haven't lost count yet. I know that's not saying much with only 100 stitches in one color done but I'm still proud.

Anywho, I'm going to try and get some more done tonight after work and may post a photo to show the work so far. Ciao!
